Dar Narbugud and its DKP system (submitted by Selo at 11:08pm CEST) Greeting NW players! Dar Narbugud will bring us another 12 man instance and the DKP costs will be as follows! The reward those players that joined us in the Watcher/Turtle fights we will give everyone 10% of their current DKP to the new raid (example if you have 10 dkp you get 1 from start in the new raid, if you have 16 you will go up and get 2 from start) DKP costs: (as usual main have priority over alts) 1 Weapon barter coin will cost 3 DKP, max 1 per raid 1 Armour barter coin will cost 5 DKP, max 1 per raid For this we have some special rules, we want everyone to get the full set and not keep collecting DKP for only weapons. To prevent this when a Armour barter coin drops, the person in the raid with the highest DKP will have to take the coin if they dont have the part, if he has it, it goes to the second highest on DKP list and so on. We do this because the bosses later in the raid will require more radiance. As it will make the raid easier for the kinship, we want to promote everyone to get the full set. Jewellry will be bid on up to 5 DKP, then if 2 or more people bid 5 DKP it will be the person with the highest DKP that wins it. 1 Jewellry part per raid. DKP gains: 1 dkp for signup, beeing on time and ready 1 dkp for each boss 2 dkp for the last 2 bosses if we kill them (the 1 dkp for trying does not apply if killed) 1 dkp for trying on last 2 bosses Extra notes: If you arent added on the site, sign up and send an ingame mail to Arothar or Catoblepas saying what name you signed up with, who your main is, which race and class. If you want to add more alts, you have to tell Arothar or Catoblepas the info on those aswell. |

Alliance Vile Maw raid (submitted by Arothar at 08:07pm CET) This new Alliance Vile Maw raid is meant for NW/UK people only. Keep in mind that this is not the main raid. It is meant to accomodate people that can't come the the main raid and for people that have geared up alts that want another run at it. Attending people for this raid will be decided by highest roll at the signup page. Also people with 6/6 parts will have priority over people with 5/6 parts. If no balrog/thorog hope is used, 6/6 is required. Loot will be handled in 2 phases. First there will be a roll deciding which kinship will handle the second phase. The second phase is to be decided by the responsible people of the winning kinship. (For NW this will mean using the dkp of the NW main raid ). Note for NW people: you will earn 5 dkp if you kill the watcher, 1dkp if you try and fail. No dkp is gotten for signing up and being on time if you are outrolled on a spot. Loot dkp rules will be the same as on the NW raid. |

Helegrod raiding post mom update. (submitted by Arothar at 12:57pm CET) With the Mines of Moria expansion, the helegrod raiding activity has been halted for the moment. However this does not mean that we on't be organising some hele raids in the future. It might be interesting to find out if there are any changes, how quick lvl 60's can clear it and other various reasons. However, the organisation had a discussion about what to do with dkp and other topics, and so we will have some new rules for future Helegrod raids. Signing up: No changes here, if there is a raid on the planner, people signed up will have priority. DKP: there will be no more dkp earned for future Helegrod runs. Loot: we have 2 categories here for the case that people still want to acquire loot (loot which for we used dkp before). 1) people who are currenly on 0 or negative dkp (including new raiders): if no-one with a possitive dkp wants the dropped item, all eeding people will do a roll 100, the highest roll will win the item, and the item will not cost any dkp. there is still the maximum of 1 item per run limit (unless no other needers on a second item). 2) people who have possitive dkp: these people will still use dkp for bidding on items, and logically have priority on people with 0 or negative dkp. However items will cost double of the original value (40 dkp). The person with the highest dkp will win. Alliance chest: The items in the alliance chest have been divided over the 3 participating kinships. The rules or system used to distribute those items are (to be) decided by every kinship appart. |

Alliance chat channel (submitted by Arothar at 07:07pm CEST) Everyone in the alliance, now named "FUN" (Fate of norns, United kingdoms and Nine worlds), can now join the new alliance chat channel. To do so, simply type the following (case sensitive) in your lotro chat window. /joinchannel AllianceFun Make sure you enable chat output from this player-made channel as well. right-click general tab in chat window. go to "change filter". checkmark option user chat 1 (and 2, 3, 4 if you like). Now you will be able to see chat in the alliance channel. use /1 to say something in it (or /2, /3, /4 if you already had user made channels). You can also change the color for this chat under chat option. (Well unless your char is bugged to do that like mine :p) We hope to see everyone on this channel. It might facilitate some communication in helegrod, and you will be able to find a decent group for instances or quests a bit easier as well here. |

New alliance chest lookup method (submitted by Arothar at 12:34am CEST) From now on you will be able to see what items are in the alliance chest by clicking on the member "Alliance Chest" in the standings menu. This means you'll no longer have to wait for an admin to update the news with chest items, but you'll be able to see changes to the chest much faster, mostly as soon as a raid's dkp is sorted. Rules for getting an item from the chest are still the same, see in an earlier note lower on this page. |

Helegrod Update (submitted by Terana at 02:21am CEST) As we have many people and many alts signing for Helegrod, the Officers feel the fairest way to distribute Mirdinant is to limit one per account, not character, this will give each person who attends a greater chance of obtaining this rare item. |

Alliance Helegrod Raiding Rules (submitted by Arothar at 11:07am CEST) Because we noticed people selling Helegrod set-pieces on the ah, which is against the rules in this alliance helegrod raid, we are reposting the rules up here to avoid any future misunderstandings. Selling dkp items on the ah is strictly forbidden and abuses will be sanctioned. Information Typically the Alliance raids every Tuesday in Helegrod Originally just Nine Worlds (NW) and United Kingdoms (UK), the alliance has been expanded to include Fate of Norms (FoN). Usually we do not get more than 24 signups. However, signups are given priority over non-signups unless there are significant issues with class balance. If you just turn up on the night you must accept the decisions of the raid leaders/officers as to which parts of the raid you may attend. Raid invites typically start 7:00pm UK time Raid typically commences 7:30pm UK time Raids usually finish around 11:00pm or later UK time Alliance DKP System Earning Points - a total of +7 if all goes well in a full raid • 1 DKP for signup and turn up on time • 1 DKP for Storvagun (Giants) • 1 DKP for Zaudru (Spiders) • 1 DKP for Grisgart (Drakes) • 1 DKP for Thorog attempt • 1 DKP for Thorog kill • 1 DKP for staying the whole raid What is DKP and what isn’t • EVERY Boss Quest Item costs 20 DKP o Storvagun´s Emblem of Loyalty o Zaudru´s Crimson Mandible o Mirdanant • EVERY Epic (teal) item costs 20 DKP • The Skull of Thorog costs 20 DKP Other purple items (including Cloudmantle) are /roll if you need them Bind on Acquire (BoA) quest items are /roll if you need them How to bid on an item • You should check your current DKP on the website before each raid • To win an item your character in the raid needs to be able to use that item and state “need <dkp>” in the raid channel • Should characters in the raid need the item, the person with the highest DKP during the raid typing “need <dkp>” will win the item (even if their DKP is –ve) If no-one in the raid needs the item for a character present, they may type “need <dkp> for another character” (exception for this is when a character changes his class for balance on a Thorog kill, then the player can get the boe item and equip it on what character he likes) (This ‘bid’ has lower priority than a character present needing an item even if the character present is on negative DKP) You can only loot one DKP item per raid ... unless noone else on the raid wants to use DKP for another item (for main or alt) ... then you may use DKP to need a second DKP item DKP for Alliance Helegrod Raids is stored on your main character and may be used by any of your characters/alts that raid with the alliance to purchase DKP items. If no-one chooses to spend their DKP on a non BoA DKP item – this item is taken by an officer and placed in the NW Kin Chest These items can then be purchased by members of the Alliance by contacting a NW officer for 20 DKP at a later date after the raid on a first-come first-served basis. You must have a positive DKP before purchasing an item. (Active NW Officers = Aldoran, Catoblepas, Arothar/Eagar). Selling DKP Items is strictly prohibited! If you were to need a DKP item and find out later that you do not need the item – you may NOT sell this item. Instead you must contact an officer and arrange for the item to be placed into the NW Kin Chest so that all Alliance members may have the opportunity to purchase this item for 20 DKP You will then be credited back the 20 DKP you have spent on this item. |
